Other Worlds

I've decided that this blog will mostly be my travel blog. I'll update with pictures and quips from the road and my life. Not that I'm on the road a lot, but I think that blogging when I am is very modern. While mobile blogging is sort of like twittering I still think it has some relevance. I twitter a lot. But that doesn't mean I can't maintain a blog anymore.
On occassion I will still write some longer blog posts here. Predominantely, however, it will be my mobile posts. You can see it in the pictures I've posted so far.

That aside here's a list of games that I'm currently in the middle of playing:
Persona 2: Innocent Sin - I'm sort of stuck after the appearance of Xibalba right now. Though mostly that's because my F keys don't work and I don't feel like fixing them.

Suikoden Tierkreis: Chugging along nicely. Just got all 108 stars and quickly headed towards the ending.

Rune Factory: Stopped playing for the moment because I can't get into a good groove with it. I intend to pick it back up though.

Football Manager 2009: Finally moved on to the newest one. Love the match engine. Managing Real Betis as a woman manager. A very nice challenge.

Persona 4: Haven't picked it up in a while for some reason. A great game. Perhaps one of the best for the PS2.

LEGO Knights

Vigilant knights. Mighty toy crusaders. Four tiny heroes.

ReBirth pt. 2

Several years ago I had a small blog. Then I quit that blog and for a while was quite content without one. Last August I started blogging again. Deciding I needed a change I went for a different system, Wordpress. That, my fellow bastards, was a giant mistake.
The entire interface is clunky and broken.

Change isn't always the best route. Sometimes you've just gotta go with what you know works.
Blogger has made some great improvements in the years I've been away.

So I am settling back into Blogger for the long run. I'm not giving up this time, I won't get frustrated out of it again.

Rest-au-rant

If only it wasnt broken.

Green, Red, Grey

I have 1500 pictures of Japan on my computer.
I want to go there. I live there vicariously. I scour the internet for these
photos. It's my only connection.

I have 1300 pictures of art from video games.
Video game art is incredibly underrated. There is amazing character design.

I have 200 maps.
I should probably have more. I'm really picky about maps.

I have 180 pictures of my London trip.
And I probably should have more. I need a new memory stick. Scratch that,I need a new camera.

I have maybe 100 of my lady love.
She doesn't like me taking photos of her. But she's photogenic. Unlike myself.

Cherry Blossom Season...

It's cherry blossom season in Japan right now. Guess where I am? AMERICA! Still over here for now. Still waiting to find my opportunity.
I'll be in Japan for the Cherry Blossom season some year. Whether distant or near.

I was GOING to put pictures here... but fucking worthless wordpress is broken again. I can't click the picture link. It won't pop anything up. I don't have my toolbar... again. I can't use this broken fucking system. JESUS FUCK I can't even add tags! Or change the category! And this stupid fucking bullshit system never even lets me add interesting widgets from around the web unless THEY make them.

FUCK YOU WORDPRESS!!

Season of Movement

The great season of Spring is finally here.  A long and depressingly cold winter is now behind us and we can look forward to finally getting some nice, pleasant days.  Soon the trees will be full of green, windows can stay open, and layers can be shed.

This being Maine it's going to take a while for this to actually kick in.  We should be enjoying some very good days by May.  And rain.  That's what I hate about Winter, no rain.  We've already had some days that were rainier than a cows blood in a slaughterhouse.  May we have many more.  Rainy days and slaughtered cows both I suppose.

Now if I were a dog person I would be very happy right now.  I'd be starting to take my dog for walks which has always seemed to me like a fun time.  I hate dogs, but they look like they're having so much fun that it would probably create mass happy.  It's always been at the back of my head "They look like they're having a blast" or "That would be a great excuse to take a walk". It just takes too much convincing to get me to go on a walk alone.  I'll do it, rarely, but a dog would give me all the more incentive.

So where am I at now?

I have a cat.  A big fat fatty of a cat.  He'll barely walk the five feet from where he's currently dumped his body in a heap to go slump in front of his food and eat.  He'll struggle to get there and then give me a look that seems to say "Why didn't you just bring this food to where I was?"
