Until I find something to really blog about hardcore I'm closing down this blog. Right now it's serving no purpose in my life. I have never been the type of person to obsessively talk about my life or what I've done since it seemed to be so very boring from the inside.
In the future I will almost certainly pop back up, but I'm taking another break from blogging. Thanks for reading my mind dumps despite my horrendously poor form.
The final word is... well there is none since I never really had a point.
Goodbye again.

Climbing a Mountain
This weekend I'm going to climb a mountain. It wasn't my idea but like so many youths in the Vietnam War I have been drafted.
I might say something about it when I get back on Monday. I might not. I hardly feel compelled to post on this blog anymore.
Maybe just some pictures. Probably not though.
I've never climbed a mountain before so I hope I don't fall off it and die. That would show 'em.

It's Gojira!
Yesterday I got up before 7 and spent all morning watching Godzilla movies. It was great. Today I got up at 8:40 and it was less great. Why is it so hard to get into a good morning routine? Is it because I don't have anything to wake up and do? All I know is that I'd like to become a morning person but it's become such a battle with myself to actually get up at a decent time. Right now I'm winning about a third to a half of the time. Coffee helps.
Remember the awful 1998 American Godzilla movie? It had Jean Reno, Matthew Broderick, and Hank Azaria as well as a spectacularly lame looking Godzilla. It turns out that version of Godzilla made an appearance in a real Godzilla movie in Japan back in 2004! It was killed in like 10 seconds by the big nasty lizard. The rest of the 2004 movie was terrifyingly bad, though. Don Frye was one of the main characters, yes the MMA crossover fighter that was Antonio Inoki's final opponent. Also there was more action between the aliens and the humans than any of the kaiju.
Crazy stuff.

It's not hip hop, it's Electro!
Fuck a doodle doo.
I've been listening to a lot of electronic music lately. Not even techno really, like ambient downtempo shit. It's not really good as music but what it does is mellow me out. It's some of the most relaxing sounds I've ever heard. If you have Winamp open up Shoutcast radio and listen to Groove Radio.
My favorite movies are about slackers like myself. Simon Pegg and Seth Rogen and the like.
I don't like stoner comedies though which are similar but fundamentally different than slacker comedies.
Compelling stuff I'm writing here, eh?
I can't get that Forever Young song out of my head but I can't remember where I heard it recently. It's often used in movies but I'm not sure which one I heard it in.
Silas just took a gigantor dump and is stinking me out of the room full of boxes I call home. I'd run his fat grey ass out the door if I wasn't so sure he'd be able to muscle me out. I try to stay on that cats good side since I'm sure that one more spray bottle to his dopey face would see me kicked out of my own room. I swear that cat has some fucking cronies waiting just around the corner. He seems like the type.
LINK OF THE POST
Now a feature that makes an appearance when I damn well please, the link of the post. I heard about Bohemian Drive on io9 and read all 82 (as of this post) comics straight. It's a clever post-human story about robots laid off from their jobs and decide to just GO. The art is cool and it has a unique scroll style.

Far Beyond Quarterlife
My quarterlife crisis was nearly 4 years ago now.
Still I'm floundering below my worth.
It's not really my quarterlife anymore.
Is my life just in constant crisis mode?

September is it?
It's proving very hard for me to believe this is September. Being blasted by our second heat wave in a month has left me sweaty, uncomfortable and miserable with no where to run to and nothing to do. Not having money is the worst thing in the world people... I'm not resourceful enough to live without it like some people manage.
So I'm unable to escape this bastard heat that is smothering everybody in New England. At this point I'm begging for the hurricane that is currently near the Carolina coast to hit us. A lot of rain would do a lot of good. I might be able to sleep at night without being drenched in my own sticky sweat. Oh how nice that would be to have. Plus it'll let me bust out my jackets and hats which I think make me look my best, which is still pretty bad.
I'm done being a pirate. It's bad to get games, movies and music that way. If I'm not willing to pay for it I don't think I should be stealing it. Not that I'm admitting to it of course! I'm just saying that were I ever to have pirated pricey things I would now be reconsidering it. So to speak.
It looks like we'll be moving again in a month. Ashes was able to find a job babysitting some autistic kids that pays decently enough. I'm of the opinion that if I actually move down to Massachusetts I'll have a much easier time getting a job. Who really knows, though, since I've been at the job search for over half a year without any sliver of good luck.
COME ON YOU HURRICANE! I need some relief from this torturous weak of heat. I can't do anything when I feel so damn miserable. What little ambition and energy I have is completely sucked out of me and I'm left a gross, smelly shell of a human spread out on a bed barely clinging to consciousness. I've spent the day watching Golden Girls, one of Ashes' foolish baby shows, Hot Fuzz, and now some Japanese martial arts movie. I played Uncharted Waters for a bit. That's my entire day so far! All my efforts at self improvement have flown out the window in these last few weeks. Either a change of scenery or a change of weather will get me going I think. I think.
I really need to do a post about Japanese movies because there's a certain over the top element in all of them that makes them fun to watch. Even crap fests like Yo-Yo Girl Cop had a goofy x-factor that made it worth the watch. I'm watching High-Kick-Girl right now and it's incredibly stupid but at the same time fun to watch. That's the thing about J-movies. If a movie shouldn't be taken too seriously than it presents itself as something that shouldn't be taken too seriously. That's one of the things about American movies that I hate, a shitty movie taking itself too seriously. It's painful to watch something like that but not when it comes to J-cinema.
Thank you for being a friend! You're a pal and a confidant!

Small Thumbs Up - WWE
I haven't watched WWE programming on a regular basis in maybe 4-5 years. Back when it was starting to get really bad and the matches took a back seat. Anyway, in that time there has been some stuff that I've read about that I want to talk about briefly. So I'm going to give some small thumbs up today to the WWE. Yes, I'm going to say positive things about a company that I so despise for taking the wrestling out of wrestling.
I'm well aware that I post a little bit too often about wrestling but it was something that used to be my main hobby. I still regularly play TEW in order to book wrestling the way I want. I don't imagine there will be too many more posts about wrestling in my life since my interest, from WWE down to ROH and the indies, has completely fallen off.
So here's the pluses about the WWE in recent years.
+ CM Punk is a three time World Champion. That's right, CM Punk is a 3 time champion. He's also one of the most popular heels in the company! Gotta love that the rest of the world is in on Punk.
+ Bryan Danielson and Low Ki are in the company. Just starting at the moment but they both have a huge wave of momentum. Danielson was fired and the fans were so pissed off they hired him back in less than a month!
+ Huge focus on Rey Mysterio. I remember watching him when he was "the little Mexican jumping bean" in WCW and loving everything he did. His style brought cruiserweight wrestling in focus. The X Division wouldn't have existed without his influence. And now he's one of the big players in WWE winning two world titles in the last five years.
+ Hart Dynasty and the return of Bret Hart. I've been all about Harry Smith for years and always knew he was going to be a success, and now he's reformed the Hart Foundation with TJ Wilson no less! I've seen few of their matches but I respect their dedication to rebuilding the tag division. It'll end in the standard team split-send to different shows-don't push-fire that EVERY FUCKING TEAM goes through, but right now they're great. And BRET HART is back in the WWE in a major role. He won the US title... for some reason. Can't complain though because it has brought one of the greats back in the limelight.
+ Rebirth of ECW. This concept was GREAT... about five years ago. The show came back and it starting lagging very quickly, and the ECW Championship became a midcard title. But for a while ECW was back on top and proving to be quite exciting. Tommy Dreamer getting a push and title win, plus a title win for Chavo were both amazing moments. TNA has recently copied the One Night Stand idea and bombed, the original ONS can't be matched.
A few quick minuses
- Death of the cruiserweight division. WWE just never had respect for the little guys and the shows they could put on, and they convinced the fans that exciting wrestling wasn't worth watching. For shame
- The writers, not being wrestling fans, just don't know what to do. They often have no focus or stupid stories that everyone groans about watching. Nobody listens to the fans... well the DO, as shown by Low Ki's NXT win, but not often. It's a shame how many great wrestlers were fired because "Creative had nothing for them," and most likely refused to listen to the performers ideas. Fucking management, eh?
There we go, my last wrestling post for the near future. I've covered everything I have to say and I'm going to let all this stand as the final word.
